Johnnie was excited about the class assignment. Having studied how heroes affect our lives, he and his classmates were asked to write a paper on heroic stories. The teacher explained that these stories could be based on true-life situations or heroic feats from literature. The main stipulation was that the subject of the paper needed to be something which had a positive impact on the writer. Well, Johnnie enjoyed reading about heroes. He grabbed onto this assignment with real enthusiasm. Johnnie's folks marvelled at how excited he was as he sat down at his desk each night after school to polish up this paper. Having noticed Johnnie's paper being turned in earliest of the entire class, the teacher was curious to see how he had done. She was stunned at how well-crafted the paper was. Johnnie's excitement about his subject had very successfully spilled out onto the written page. She was equally surprised when she finished and turned to his bibliography at the end of the paper. There was only one reference listed ... the Bible. -- Thompson
