Keep these words that I...

"Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, and when you lie down and when you rise." One of the most difficult things that I ever had to do was to take my son to college and leave him there. I knew he was there to get an education. I also knew that he would learn a great deal from living in a dorm. He didn't need to agree with the way some people lived, but he had to learn how to get along with others. I also prayed that he would remember what his mother and I tried to teach him about life -- to go to church, to pray and to read the Bible, to behave as a Christian. I wouldn't be there to see what he was doing. I had heard about college life and drugs and alcohol and wild parties. All I could do was pray, hoping that my son would seek and follow the ways of wisdom; that he would remember what he had been taught at home. -- Frank
