A king at one time...
Illustration
A king at one time had many mirrors in his castle, but just a few tiny windows. Without
telling the king, one of his palace workers began to replace the mirrors with large
windows. The king who had a caring spirit, for the first time began to see what his
kingdom and his people really looked like. He saw many in poverty and sickness; he saw
many looking for work. Seeing things as they truly were, opened a door for caring.
What if the palace worker who made the window changes would have said, "I have no gifts or abilities to help others. What can I do?" 1 Corinthians 12 reminds us that he gives a gift to each person. Look out your window and see the needs of the world and follow God's guidance in lifting the fallen.
