Last year at this time...

Last year at this time, there was much hype about Y2K. Y2K was described in almost Armageddon terms. Many were concerned about what would happen to our computer-dependent society. Would power grids go out? Would public utilities, like water and sewer, go haywire? Would vital medical or banking records be lost? Would defense systems become dysfunctional? Fear was fueled, as the fires of uncertainty were fanned. What actually happened was little to cause fear. Instead of "bugs" in the new year, we can expect continued blessings. This is because God is in charge. God is the "start up" (Alpha) and the "shut down" (Omega) of our computer-driven world. As long as we depend on God from day to day, the tears of fears will be wiped from our eyes and the new things that God will bring upon us in the new year will be for our good.
