Linda Greenlaw wrote her first book, The Hungry Ocean, about her exploits as a swordboat captain in the North Atlantic. After many years in that profession, she settled down to fish for lobster at home off a very small island on the coast of Maine. Life was different, but still very challenging. She records her continuing, but new life in The Lobster Chronicles. In a similar way, Luke reports the exploits of the disciples with Jesus in his gospel account. Then, he follows that up with how life unfolded for them in the work and fellowship of the Christian community after the resurrection and ascension of Jesus. Good sequels carry the story of characters and plots into new horizons of adventure.
