Louisiana Judge Thomas Quirk has a rather different way of handing out justice in his courtroom. Over the years he has sentenced at least 350 people to attend church as part of the punishment for their offenses. His method, though, has been appealed. But in the meantime Judge Quirk says that he is going to keep on doing what he has been doing until some court orders him to do otherwise. Jesus had an idea of truth and justice that went contrary to the prevailing leadership of his day. But he held his ground, even in the face of opposition. -- Bowen
