Saint Paul knows better. He does not resort to false religions or gimmicks. He knows, beyond a doubt, that there awaits him a crown of life prepared for him by his Savior, Jesus Christ. He knows that the one who died on the cross and rose again, will rescue him from every evil and save him for the heavenly kingdom.
