Many find it difficult, if not impossible, to love themselves. If that fits you, know that God knows you even better than you know yourself and loves you better than you love yourself!
"You shall love your neighbor as yourself" makes sense if we love ourselves, for then we can find peace within ourselves and help peace become a reality around us.
On June 28, 1914, the world witnessed the reverse of what we wish. On that day Archduke Franz Ferdinand, Crown Prince of Austria, and his wife, Sofia, were assassinated at Sarajevo. This led to the beginning of WWI.
After the tragedy of WWI on June 28, 1919, the Treaty of Versailles was signed. While this supposedly ended WWI, it was so harsh on Germany that the German people were embittered by its reparations. This in turn provided the backdrop for Hitler's rise to power and to WWII.
June 28, 1950, was another example of "brothers" literally falling out with peace. For it was on this date that North Korea, having invaded South Korea, captured the capital of Seoul.
