For many, many years I had a German shepherd named Isis. She was MY dog. Anytime I went somewhere, Isis thought she should go, too. She would almost knock me down trying to jump into the car. It was always interesting to me that she had no idea where we were going; she had no clue how long we'd be gone or whom we would see. She only knew she would be with someone who loved her, and that was all she cared about. Is that not our story? This is "new covenant" that Paul describes and that we experience "in remembrance" of Christ.
