Many pro athletes end up playing with their heroes. A rookie walking into a dressing room for the first time only to find a superstar sitting next to him or across the room can hardly believe that he is there in the same room with the star. It also works the other way. Last spring Ryne Sandburg, second baseman for the Chicago Cubs, was sent to a minor league team for rehabilitation after an injury. These players who had been in awe of the talents of Mr. Sandburg were now playing with him on the same field. Mr. Sandburg could of course not wipe away every tear nor stop pain but his presence on the minor league field was quite a sight to see for player and fan alike. Such awe is quite understandable. What fan or player would believe that such a thing could happen unless they saw it with their own eyes? -- Watson
