Many of us could possibly be categorized as cynical individuals, believing only in those things which we can readily prove by the five senses; smell, touch, taste, sight, and hearing. Yet, some of the most valuable things of life lie outside these senses. Love is not a tangible item, yet our family relationships of parenting and marriage rely upon such an intangible. The oxygen which we breathe is not something which is easily measured by the five senses, yet it is vital to our physical being. And while energy may be found in a battery, television set, or an individual sprinting across a field, it is not something that you can smell, touch, taste, see or hear in a soundproof room, yet it is there, bouncing around all over the place. And, while we can not see the power and presence of Jesus Christ as an individual, we can certainly prove his existence by the effect he has on individual lives.
"After six years given to the important investigation of Christianity, as to its truth or falsity, I have come to the deliberate conclusion that Jesus Christ was the Messiah of the Jews, the Saviour of the world, and my personal Saviour." (Lew Wallace, author of Ben-Hur.)
