Many years ago my adolescent daughter came home from summer Bible camp with a beautifully-colored, handmade yarn creation. I asked for information about the handcraft and my daughter told me it is called "The Eye of God." The center of this creation, which is said to have its origin in ancient spiritual communities, is the image of an eye. This image is symbolic of the invisible God of all creation, and in it all parts of the creation are held together. In its simplicity, such an idea expresses profound truths. With elements of earth (yarn and twigs), such a creation expresses divine order. -- Saxon
