Marion Preminger was born in Hungary shortly after the beginning of this century. She was raised in a wealthy family with servants of many kinds, but she was not happy.
The beautiful young lady, in her eighteenth year, met a handsome young man, the son of an Austrian doctor. She thought this was the answer to her search for happiness and they married after a brief courtship. However, the marriage lasted only one year and she was very unhappy again.
She began a life as an actress and married a director. Once again she married in an effort to find happiness. It seemed as though it would work this time, especially when he took a job as a movie director in Hollywood. But, once again it ended in divorce.
Her search for happiness took her back to Europe where she lived in Paris -- as a socialite, but still very unhappy. When she learned that Dr. Albert Schweitzer was giving an organ concert in a nearby village, she went to the church to meet him. She did not wait until the time of the organ concert but went in the middle of the day. When she heard the lovely strains of the organ, played by this master of music, she was overwhelmed. A strange feeling came over her and she began to feel at peace within. She followed Schweitzer across Europe from one concert to another. The evil spirit that had dwelt within her life left her and she began to find the happiness for which she was searching. It was not complete however, until she went to visit Schweitzer at Lamberene and began to help care for the sick. The organ music has begun her recovery and the service to others completed it.
