As a member of the area ministerial association, Pastor Dan was asked to preach at the local nursing home. Being new to both the ministry and the area, Dan had no idea what to expect. When he got to the home, the director of social affairs met him in the front lobby and gave him some instructions. He asked him to walk among the residents and greet them when the last song was being sung. Dan was a little nervous about this since he had no experience with nursing home residents. As they were singing the last song, Dan went out as asked, and began shaking hands, but as he was touching them, it was the singing of the residents that touched his heart. They were singing, "He Touched Me," and as Dan went through that small gathering of saints touching them, he was being touched by the love of God. Dan decided that some traditions should never end.
