More and more businesses today...

More and more businesses today are doing their best to do away with meetings. Perhaps
this makes sense in an environment where many employees work out of their homes and
only are connected with the main office by telephone, email, FAX, or conference calls.
Still, something intangible but valuable takes place when people meet face-to-face. The
apostle Paul, who was great at "networking," understood this. In verse 10, he expresses
his desire to visit the Thessalonians again to "restore whatever is lacking in [their] faith."
Paul's first preference always was to meet personally with his churches. Failing this he
would send an emissary, like Timothy. Only as a last resort would Paul send a letter. Did
he know something modern managers don't know?
