My wife and I recently...

My wife and I recently viewed a showing of the works of a local artist. A "deja vu" quality clung to them. It became obvious to us that the artist was emulating the style of the French Post-impressionist, Paul Gauguin, especially the style that marked those paintings Gauguin did in Tahiti. Our local artist had not found his own distinct style. He was viewing things through the eyes of another. Sermons can be like that. Many can be filled with one quote after another. I feel like shouting out, "But, what do you say, Preacher?" -- Kolsti
