What happened to peace on earth? Why do we have to put up with all these birth pangs? Have any women who had children not had birth pangs? But I think most of them would say that it was worth it! A new life had come into the world! No, the pain was not over and would continue on and off for many years, but again, most would say it was worth it. The thing that made it worthwhile is love. Even God had his birth pangs. The children that he brought into the world and loved had turned against him on and off for thousands of years. So why do we complain? The only peace we can have is the peace he plants in our hearts -- the peace that lets us know it will all end one day in his heavenly home. So don't give up!
