Occasionally, I receive requests from our evangelism committee to visit a certain person,
who, for one reason or another, has turned way from the church. Usually these visits are
well received, but every so often I have a visit where the church is ridiculed and faith is
mocked. Often I leave these visits feeling hurt, disappointed, and frustrated. When I
report on these visits to the evangelism committee, their reaction is to say, "Pastor, you
should never go back there again." When that happens, my response is, "But what would
Jesus do?"
