Om Dutta Sharma is a man who knows how to follow through on what Jesus says here about "taking care of my lambs." Mr. Sharma is a New York City cab driver who has contributed 2,500 dollars a year for the last three years in order to run a school for 180 girls in his hometown, a small village named Doober Kishanpur in India. Located in northern India, the traditional village didn't offer many opportunities for young girls to get an education. After he moved to New York City twenty years ago, Mr. Sharma made a promise to himself that he would try to change that situation if he could. Even though he makes only a modest living and has his own family to support and educate, Mr. Sharma has provided medical care for students and has plans to expand his school to serve more than 500 girls through high school. Says Mr. Sharma, "You are always getting, getting, getting. You have to give it back. It is my moral duty to take some wealth back to India by drop, drop, drop."
