A parishioner in a church I served decided to enter the ordained ministry. He related his decision to the congregation during worship one Sunday. He confessed that, before he reached age 28, he had attained every goal he had set for his life. He had achieved every success symbol of the man in the gray flannel suit -- a fine home, a good job, a wonderful family, a car, all the security he needed, all of the necessities, and many of the luxuries of life. He had everything he wanted, except one thing, peace with God. He had asked for and, from all outward appearances, apparently received everything, except for a primary relationship with the living Christ. -- Keller
