Part of the thrill...

Part of the thrill of competing in team sports is the honor of wearing the uniform. Even though it is widely regarded as an individual sport, bicyclists are just as proud of their team jerseys as are participants in other more popular sports such as football or basketball. In a recent letter to the "Style Man" column of Bicycling magazine, a new rider asked if it was appropriate to show up for his local race in a United States Postal Service uniform, just like his hero, Lance Armstrong. Style Man answered that if someone showed up in a Postal Team kit at any race he was in, he would have to run him off the road. The Postal riders worked hard to earn that jersey. It wasn't right to show up on the start line in a uniform you didn't earn.
In a way, Samuel had the privilege of wearing the Lord's uniform, a symbol of service. He earned the sacred linen apron by faithfully serving God.
