A pastor visiting the Holy Land writes:
We were off for the experience of a lifetime. We would be "walking where Jesus walked." We could hardly wait to get to Jerusalem. At last we were soon to be there. On the bus, we began singing "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, sing for the night is o'er, Hosanna in the highest, Hosanna forevermore!"
It was late evening as we checked into our hotel rooms, and we were tired. A full day lay ahead of us, so we fell asleep quickly.
All of a sudden, we were awake, my wife and I. What is that we are hearing? Why, it was the crowing of a rooster. Yes, here in the city of Jerusalem. A rooster in the city? A rooster crowing?
We checked the clock. It was 3 a.m. Then it hit us. Here in this very city, a rooster crowed one time and the disciple named Peter realized what he had done in denying the Master. He went out and wept.
