Paul fought the good fight...

Paul fought the good fight of faith and finished the race. He just wouldn't quit -- not unlike Paavo Nurmi. The Finnish runner competed in the 1924 Olympics in Paris. During the games he ran seven races in six days. The day he won the 1,500-meter event he also won, just 75 minutes later, the 5,000-meter event. Only a few hours later, some of the contestants took a bus from the Olympic village complex into Paris for an evening of celebration. The distance was about six miles. One of Nurmi's friends looked out the bus window and saw him, walking along at a good clip, into Paris!
