A policeman in Cincinnati recently was arrested as a bank robber and narcotics distributor. He confessed to the crimes. His thirteen-year-old son said he would not believe it was true even if his father told him it was fact. This same policeman, dressed in a uniform of righteousness, has been recognized and honored on many occasions for his work as a policeman. It seems incredible that the same person seen walking in the light disguised himself in the dress of a bandit and was living in the shadows. It is obvious that this man knew the difference between right and wrong. But perhaps all that he did was done to ratify the desire of the sinful nature. He loved the attention of being a good cop. He also wanted the gratification of money and other sinful things that his criminal activity brought him. Had this policeman been clothed with the Lord Jesus Christ, as Paul advocates, then would this have happened? Were we all clothed in Jesus Christ would the desires of our sinful natures overtake our love of God? We think not! -- Runk
