The preacher's son was in...

The preacher's son was in trouble at school. So he went to talk with his son's eighth--grade teacher not knowing what kind of trouble the boy was in. All Reverend Smith knew for sure was that if his son was in trouble at school, he was also in trouble with his father. It turned out that he had, while not paying attention in class, been writing some very inappropriate words (cuss words, etc.) on a fill--in--the--blank story and passing it along to some of his friends.
The boy was given some detentions at school and some restriction at home. Reverend Smith was upset with him and knew that his son knew better than to behave like this. But how could he stay angry with his son? He's his son! His own flesh and blood! He loved him before he misbehaved and he still loves him after.
