The reality of Elijah being...

The reality of Elijah being taken to heaven by a chariot and horse of fire may be hard to accept, yet this miracle is no greater than any other act of God, including the miracle of life itself. However, the story is not as much about miracles as about the greatness and worthiness of God's servant, Elijah. He was "translated" because he was deemed worthy by God.
In the early 1940s, some children in a Sunday school camp meeting made up the following song.
The prophet Elijah was a good old man,
God took him to heaven in a fiery sedan.
Good old Elijah, good old Elijah.
I'm going to be just as good as I can,
So I can go to heaven in a fiery sedan,
Just like Elijah, just like Elijah.
