Repentance means to turn around...

Repentance means to turn around. To respond to the call of repentance can open the future to individuals trapped in their past.
The readiness of a prisoner to own up to his own guilt caught Frederick the Great, King of Prussia, off guard. On one occasion the ruler arranged to tour and inspect the prison in Berlin. The prisoners fell on their knees before him, all vigorously protesting their innocence. One man alone remained silent and aloof. Frederick called to him, "You there. Why are you here?" The prisoner confessed, "Armed robbery." Asked the monarch, "And are you guilty?" Said the inmate, "Yes, indeed, Your Majesty. I entirely deserve my punishment."
Frederick summoned the warder. "Guard," he said, "release this guilty wretch at once. I will not have him kept in this prison where he will corrupt all the fine innocent people who occupy it."
