Sibling rivalry has been around...

Sibling rivalry has been around since Cain and Abel.
Sometimes it spurs friendly competition that is good-natured and helps both of the siblings to do their best. Mary and Terri are twins. They are each other's best friend and yet, each has always tried to do a little better than her sister. They will graduate from high school in 2005 as valedictorian and salutatorian and have both been accepted into their school of choice, New York University.
Sometimes sibling rivalry turns ugly. Sam grew up in his big brother's shadow. William, Sam's big brother, was popular, athletic, smart, funny, and an all-around nice person to be around. Joe felt like he was none of those things. Try as he might, he just didn't fit in. He became resentful of William and began to think of ways he could get back at him. As a youngster, he tattled on William and often lied to enhance the evil of William's deeds. As Sam grew older, so did his resentment and his willingness to do harm to his brother. Then Sam carried it too far. He rigged the brake lines on William's car so they would fail and the authorities had to be called in. Sam is now serving time in jail.
Joseph's brothers let jealousy rule. Fortunately, reason stepped in just in time. And so did God. Joseph lived out his dream and his brothers were forgiven.
