Some people can sleep anywhere...

Some people can sleep anywhere. Linda Greenlaw discovered this to be true, almost too late to live and tell about it. Linda Greenlaw is the captain of the Hannah Boden, an ocean fishing trawler, that is a sister ship to the Andrea Gail, which went down in The Perfect Storm.
She was asleep one night on board while one of her crew was supposed to be piloting the boat. In the middle of the watch, she was awakened by an unanswered warning that kept coming over the VHF radio. She hopped from her bunk and went to the wheelhouse, only to find the crew member asleep at the wheel and a bright bank of lights dead ahead drawing closer. She grabbed the helm, cranked it over hard to starboard and pushed the throttle to full ahead. Just barely did she avoid ramming a tug boat with a barge in tow, which would have meant certain disaster to her boat and crew! (The Hungry Ocean, Linda Greenlaw, pp. 45-48)
