In this text the concept of God's irrational love for fallen humanity expressed in Christ is not understood by reason or revealed by intellect. It is much like studying the laws of aerodynamics as they apply to the understanding of the flight characteristics of bumblebees. When analyzing the body mass and volume of the bee with the surface area of the wings a problem emerges. According to all of human understanding relative to fixed-wing aircraft, bumblebees should not be capable of achieving flight. Nevertheless, our powers of observation quickly reveal the reality that bumblebees can and do, in fact, fly. Engineers finally discovered that bumblebees function much more like helicopters than fixed-wing aircraft. Each of the two hind wings couple with the trailing edges of the forewings by means of tiny hooks, called hamuli. Thus connected a functional hinged unit is formed, which is flexible along the longitudinal axis and the wing tips move in a figure eight pattern forming vortices along the length of the wing creating lift. The economy of God's love is comparable in that it is an economy known but to the mind of God that defies the conventional wisdom of humanity.
