Tony Razzano knows how to sell cars. Tony is a used car salesman in Woodbury, New York, an upscale neighborhood on the famous Gold Coast of Long Island. But he doesn't sell just any kind of car -- Tony sells the best. He specializes in slightly used luxury cars like Porsches, Rolls Royces, Jaguars, and Bentleys: cars with price tags as high as a modest home. And in a struggling economy, he has to call on all his formidable skills to keep his products moving. In light of the recent terror attacks and anthrax scares, Tony has hit upon a very effective pitch. He asks his customers, "Why would you wait for tomorrow to get what you want today?" In other words, there is not much time left, so go out and get what you want before it's too late. The strategy works. Tony Razzano is the number one salesman in his firm.
Paul uses much the same pitch to the Corinthians, although with a different motivation. Paul isn't selling used luxury cars. He is trying to sell the Corinthians on living a godly life. But the pitch is the same: "There is not much time left."
