We are limited as to...

We are limited as to what we presently can know about the universe. One scientist describes it this way. He says that we are like fish swimming in a pond. When it rains, all that the fish see are the ripples on the surface of the water. But the fish have no idea that something called "rain" exists. The fish know nothing about the water cycle, how water is evaporated from lakes and oceans, and is formed into clouds. The fish there in that pond have no idea what an ocean or a cloud is. But even though the fish cannot see those things or imagine what those things are, that does not make them any less real.
Like Abraham, we must learn to trust God, even when we do not understand what God is up to.
