When George Washington was twenty...

When George Washington was twenty he inherited Mount Vernon. With his new freedom and power which wealth brings, he enjoyed the benefits of the social circuit. As was customary, he joined the church. On the eve of his fortieth birthday he walked out on the lawn overlooking the Potomac. Beneath the stars he contemplated and dreamed. In those moments he gave himself to God and country. He placed duty and service before self. He was touched by the Spirit of destiny.
