When we come face to...

When we come face to face with ourselves in the mirror each day, we may wonder, "What did I do to deserve this?" The fact may be that we are confronting more than our own physical reflection; we may be witnessing the reflection of our spiritual, inward selves.
Moses did not need a mirror; he had a face-to-face encounter with the living God on many occasions. Despite all of those mountaintop experiences, he was not allowed to enter into the promised land, due to his own personal distrust in the promises of God.
It is obvious, from the text, that God never forsook Moses, even in death, hailing him as the greatest of the old prophets. God knew Moses intimately -- face to face.
We may not always reach our promised land in this life, but God knows us better than anyone and will be with us forever.
