In Who Speaks for God...

In Who Speaks for God? Jim Wallis asks the question posed by the book title: "Who speaks for God?" And he answers it by saying, "God speaks for God. And it is the voiceless and powerless for whom the voice of God has always been authentically raised." He goes on to remind us of our responsibility to make sure that our vision "bears some resemblance to the vision the prophets of God proclaim throughout the scriptures." If we fulfill this responsibility, then the people listening on the street corners and across the fences of our backyards will have a better idea of who the children of God really are.
