Winfred Grenfell was a medical student in London when he responded to the invitation of
Dwight L. Moody and accepted Christ. After completing his medical training, he went to
the bleak coasts of Labrador to witness and to heal. He made a trip to see Moody and to
thank him for leading him to Christ. "That was fourteen years ago," Moody said. "What
have you been doing since?" "Doing?" exclaimed Grenfell. "I've been living and working
that others might know Christ."
"You left a lot behind. Do you regret it?" asked Moody. "No!" was Dr. Grenfell's quick reply. And his life and service proved he spoke the truth.
"For this I toil and struggle with all the energy that he powerfully inspires within me ... so that we may present everyone mature in Christ" (Colossians 1:28-29).
