A woman and her husband...

A woman and her husband were stuck in the middle of a big traffic jam in a large midwestern city, which isn't unusual. But this time, the couple was on the way to the hospital in a big rush. The woman was about to give birth -- in the middle of a big traffic jam where nothing was moving. The future father got out of the car to ask for help, and he got it from a painter in a paint truck. He painted on a drop cloth in large letters: IS THERE A DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE? Whereupon other stranded motorists passed along the question. A doctor found his way to the maternity car. Now the traffic jam that was formerly tense with anger and frustration was tense with anticipation and excitement. The tension found its release in the blast of horns and shouts and whistles, as once again the drop cloth was used as a banner and raised up high. Painted on the back were the words: IT'S A BOY! -- Mosley
