The Christian uniform
Children's Activity
Object:
SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME
AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT HOME
Materials:
Newsprint or large paper
Construction paper
Tape
Blindfold
Directions:
1. This game is pin-the-uniform-on-the-Christian. Before class, outline a life-sized "Christian" on the newsprint and hang it on the wall.
2. Have the class decide on what a Christian uniform should look like; then draw each article of clothing on construction paper and cut them out. Make sure to have one article of clothing for each child!
3. Put a roll of tape on the back of each item. Blindfold each child one by one and have them try to put the uniform on the Christian!
4. Remind them that, thankfully, the real Christian uniform is love. It doesn't matter what our uniform on the outside looks like -- or if, like the outline on the wall, we have our clothes on upside-down.
