Good morning! What do I have here? (Show the phone and let
them answer.) Yes, it is a telephone, but it's a special kind of
telephone. With this phone I can call people from anywhere. I can
call them when I'm in my car, when I'm on the beach, when I'm out
fishing, or anywhere at all. Also, if somebody wants to call me,
they can call me no matter where I'm at as long as I have the
phone with me. Many people use these kinds of phones today,
especially if it's very important for them to be available on
short notice.

Now, I want to tell you there is someone all of us need to
be in touch with on a moment's notice. There is someone that we
need to keep in touch with every day. Who do you think I'm
talking about? (Let them answer.) Yes, we need to keep in touch
with God!

Do you know God has something which will allow us to talk to
Him a lot faster than a cellular phone? How can we get in touch
with God without dialing a number or using any kind of mechanical
device? (Let them answer.)

Yes, of course, we get in touch with God by prayer. All we
have to do is speak to Him in our mind and He's there! He hears
every word we think. And you know something? God wants us to pray
a lot. He wants us to talk with Him every day. Do you do that? Do
you speak to God in prayer every day? (Let them answer.)

Well, let's speak to Him right now.

Dear God in heaven: We thank You for always being there and
listening when we pray. Forgive us for not praying as often as we
