Sabbath laws
Children's Activity
Object:
SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME
AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT HOME
Directions:
1. This is a special version of "Simon says."
2. Have one child be Simon. Simon will give the other children commands. For example, "Simon says take a shoe from the person on your left."
3. The other children are allowed to break Simon's rules, but only if they can give a reason for doing so. For example, "I won't take someone's shoe, because that is stealing."
4. If a child breaks Simon's rule but doesn't have a good reason (as judged by the activity leader), they are out. Children who sit out may be given the job of evaluating the reasons others give for breaking Simon's rules.
