Directions:
1. Give each child a paper plate.

3. Direct the children to make a design that fills the entire plate using the pale colors that they chose. Tell the children to press very hard so that a thick layer of color is left.
4. Then have the children color another thick layer with a second color that is very dark.
5. Give each child a toothpick.
6. Have the children scratch "Jesus is King" into the crayon layers, so the pale colors show through the dark colors.
7. Help the children punch holes in the top of their decorated plates and string yarn through the holes so the plates can be hung up.
