At the age of 77, Senator John Glenn applied to go into space again. He had already captured the hearts of America and the world with his space flight 36 years earlier. Questions were asked, like, "Is he in good enough physical condition in his late seventies to do that?" and "Why would he even want to go up again, at his older age?" He convinced the ones in charge that indeed he was physically able. He has kept himself in tip-top condition through the years, never stopping his daily exercise program, watching his weight, and keeping his body in excellent shape. Whenever he visited his hometown of New Concord, Ohio, he was seen down on the college track. While the others were walking, he was running. And as we know, he made it!
