Dee Hock is the founder...

Dee Hock is the founder of VISA International, the big credit card company. In a recent book, Birth of a Chaordic Age, he puts the words chaos and order together. Hock uses the new word to describe an organization that is "self organizing, self governing, adaptive... and complex," yet still operates in a state of both chaos and order.
Hock used chaordic to describe his management style at VISA. The mammoth credit card company had 22,000 banks, 750 million customers and $1.25 trillion in transactions. Still VISA pales in comparison to the awesome power of God. Not even Dee Hock with his credit cards can give the "free gift of the water of life."
Hock does offer some business advice that Christians may be well served to heed:
1. Be aware of what is happening in your life.
2. Get yourself in a network of people believing and behaving like you.
3. Understand your internal model of reality or, in other words, get grounded in something bigger than yourself.
4. Remember that it is a lifetime process and you must persevere.
"Yes, I am coming soon," said Jesus. The believers' reaction is to ask him please to come soon.
In a chaotic time, we always need help. When Christians call on God as our guide, we forge ahead with courage and hope.
