Every year seniors in high school go through the long, rigorous process of getting enrolled in the college of their choice. They will go and visit a number of campuses to see how they like the atmosphere. They talk with friends who have been enrolled in those schools to get their input. They try to determine what they wish to major in. Eventually they get an admissions form to mail to the college they choose.
Selection of the "right" college has become such an important decision that kids will send off several applications to different schools to be sure they are accepted in at least one of the most prestigious institutions they have selected. The competition for admission has gotten extremely tough. Many seniors remain anxious throughout the year until they have heard word of their acceptance. They are convinced that their whole careers will be influenced by this one acceptance or rejection.
There is another enrollment that some kids don't heed. It's one that has consequences that far outlast one's admission to college. It is that heavenly enrollment that comes when one accepts Jesus Christ (v. 23).
