Have you known of children who bear a striking resemblance to a parent? One such person is Richard Roberts, the son of Oral Roberts. Some have even speculated that, not only does he have similar features to those of his father, but that he deliberately grooms himself to accentuate those similarities. The resemblance is remarkable.
Richard was being interviewed by a newsman and he shared an amusing incident that occurred on the campus of Oral Roberts University. He was walking down the street when some visitors to the campus passed by. He could hear the woman gasp, “That was Oral Roberts.” Her husband said, “No, I don't think that was Oral. I think that was his son." With a twinkle in his eye, Richard then stopped and turned to the couple, “You know what the Scriptures say, 'If you have seen me, you have seen the Father.'”
Whatever resemblance a child might have with his/her parent, surely it cannot compare to that of Jesus and the Father. Hebrews 1:3 says of Jesus that he bore, “the very stamp of [God's] nature.”
