I cannot vouch for the accuracy of this particular illustration, but I know the principle it illustrates can be demonstrated in many ways in the human body. Our bodies (our selves) are delicate machines. I have been told if a physician were to open the thyroid gland, for example, and take out a little iodine, you would become an idiot. A little simple iodine which can be purchased at a drugstore for a few cents is all that stands between you and an institution for the mentally ill. Given the marvelous balance of God's creation present in our bodies, there 3 not much room for pride and boasting. We ought to see ourselves for what we really are; then there would be no false pride.
