Jeanine's talk with her pastor...

Jeanine's talk with her pastor about her weakness in almost submitting to her boss's advances brought a new focus into her life. Her struggles now were not with her attraction to a man other than her husband. She realized she was free from that negative power in her life, but she could not get beyond the knowledge that she had committed sin by nearly breaking up her marriage. Her struggle was a lonely one; she could not share it with her husband, who knew nothing of what had happened.
Her pastor asked her, "Do you believe God has forgiven you?"
She answered, "I know Jesus died for sin. I accepted him as my Savior years ago. But I don't feel forgiven!"
"You don't really have to feel forgiven. You believe you are forgiven because of Christ's sacrifice. The Holy Spirit will give you direction when you confess your sin to God and accept forgiveness through Christ. Remember that Jesus said to the woman who was caught in the act of adultery, 'I do not condemn you. Go and sin no more.' Set your mind on Christ and what he has done, not on what you have done."
She responded, "Do you mean I can put this sin behind me and focus on Jesus?"
"That's a treasure you can take to the bank and start drawing interest," he assured her.
