One evening, in the front...

One evening, in the front of Julie's home, a young man pulled up, got out of his car, and waved a gun at her. Julie would be the first to tell you how frightened she was at that moment, but somehow she managed to remain calm. She listened to him rant and rave about his girlfriend breaking up with him and how he was so upset he did not know what to do. She listened and then talked to him. Eventually, he put his gun down and surrendered to the police. Fortunately no one was hurt.
As he was taken away Julie promised to write him, which she did. She wrote telling him about the Lord Jesus and how Jesus would see him through his difficult days and he wrote back to her.
Julie had a deep faith that carried her through some serious health problems. She had a unique way of talking about her faith in ways that other people would listen. It comes from her experience of teaching children in Sunday school for more years than she cares to admit.
