One of John Mellencamp's newest albums is called Cuttin' Heads. On it is a song that has taken many radios and CD players by storm. It's titled "Peaceful World." The song reflects on the state of the world and the way people attack each other with hate and destruction, sometimes even using Jesus' own words as weapons of destruction.
In the song a vision of a peaceful world is laid before the listener. It is a world where love overtakes political correctness, where hatred is gone, and where people's hearts are set on things "sent from above." Yet the line that jumps out of the music relates to this teaching of Jesus. "It's what you do; it's not what you say. If you're not part of the future, then get out of the way."
