The opportune time presented itself...

The "opportune time" presented itself. His wife was gone across the country to her parents' place. He wanted to get out of the house and just "look around." He dressed a notch nicer than normal, just to make a good impression. As he drove into the parking lot his pulse quickened. "I'm just going to look." This time he said it out loud to reinforce the commitment. They were as alluring as he envisioned. More enticing than he imagined. He reached out, touched a soft spot and caved in. The sight, the smell, and seduction were overwhelming. He was now ready to cross the line ... and take a "test drive." She gladly consented, and off they went. Once alone, the relationship quickly intensified. They came back and went to a private room. He was visibly afraid, but also clearly excited. The big moment came. His answer to the next question would be decisive for his marriage and financial future. "Lease or purchase?" the saleswoman asked. He had crumbled under temptation. The supple leather, German engineering and European lines won. The cost was secondary. Satisfaction came first. Temptation always promises more than it delivers. -- Webster
